Rory McPhee Weds Melanie “Mel B” Brown in London Ceremony
Rory McPhee, a prominent hairstylist, has married pop superstar Melanie “Mel B” Brown, widely known as “Scary Spice” from the Spice Girls, in a highly anticipated ceremony held at The Crypt of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
The intimate wedding saw McPhee, 37, and Brown, 50, exchange vows after six years of dating and an engagement announced in October 2022. The historic cathedral, where Princess Diana and Prince Charles were married, provided a grand setting for the nuptials.
Brown was granted permission to marry at the cathedral due to her distinction as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), an honor she received in 2022 for her work raising awareness about domestic violence.
Mel B wore a custom ivory gown by designer Josephine Scott for the ceremony, later changing into a second dress by Justin Alexander for the reception held at the Shangri-La Hotel inside The Shard, one of the UK’s tallest buildings.
Her three daughters from previous relationships, Phoenix (26), Angel Iris (18), and Madison (13), served as bridesmaids.
Baby Spice
Among the celebrity guests in attendance were fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton (“Baby Spice”), Cara Delevingne, Katherine Ryan, and Daisy Lowe. While Victoria Beckham, Melanie C, and Geri Halliwell were reportedly not present, Beckham and Melanie C shared congratulatory messages on social media.
Rory McPhee is a well-known celebrity hairstylist and a specialist in curly hairstyles. He has worked with industry figures like Lee Stafford and for the brand Redken, part of the L’Oréal Group.
He is also the co-founder of several salons, including RJ Men’s, Rory James, and LAB, and serves as an ambassador for Redken and Lee Stafford Education. The couple had been friends for over two decades before their romantic relationship began in 2018.
